IRS e-filing just opens today. There is a backlog of tax returns waiting to be accepted, so give them a day or two to work through the backlog.

Most returns will be in pending until the IRS starts to accept/reject e-files on January 29.

My federal return was accepted and my refund issued. Now I want to file my State (CT) return but I receive a message that I can't until my Federal Tax is accepted.
