Its been over the 48 hours... when will my return be accepted by IRS?

    IRS e-filing just opens today. There is a backlog of tax returns waiting to be accepted, so give them a day or two to work through the backlog.

    Most returns will be in pending until the IRS starts to accept/reject e-files on January 29.
