Some returns take longer to process, and sometimes the IRS ends up asking for more information. Some returns are pulled at random for more examination. Only the IRS can tell you what all they are doing with your return, but there are some things you need to check before you phone them.
You need to first double-check that the return was successfully filed. Are you referring to a Federal tax refund? If so, and if you are using Online TurboTax, when you log in does it say at the Tax Home that the efiled return was accepted? If it was accepted, then what message is displayed when you use the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool at the link belowl:

Here are some tips when using that IRS tool:
- Be sure you enter the correct tax year, SSN, and filing status.
- Be sure you are using only the Federal refund amount. Do not include any state refund or any total refund or net refund (Fed and State) that TurboTax may have provided on a summary screen.
- Look at your actual Federal return to get the Federal refund amount to use in the tool, i.e., your Form 1040, Line 35a.
