Somehow I accidentally claimed single and TurboTax used the 12k standard deduction on my 2019 return. I swear I checked the box that said I can be claimed on another's tax return, however I was having connection issues at the time and kept having to go back and redo certain sections online.
Now my parents are getting rejections on their E-File returns as they can't claim me as a dependent. Is this something that can be corrected when Turbotax releases the 1040X on 2/20?
I should have known there was an issue when the software made me pay the 86.00 fee when it should have been free. (unless there is an income limit)

Yes, you will need to amend your return to correct this. Since you have already filed your 2019 tax return, you will need to wait to see if your return is accepted or rejected by the IRS before amending your return. Please see the next steps below depending on whether your return is accepted or rejected.
Per the IRS website, it can take up to 16 weeks to process your amended return. Until your amended return is processed, your parent's return will continue to be rejected if they e-file and claim you as a dependent. Therefore, your parents should print and mail in their tax return if they want to claim you as a dependent.
The TurboTax Free edition can be used to file a simple tax return including W-2 income, limited interest and dividend income, claiming the standard deduction, Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC), and Child tax credits. If your tax return required additional calculations, such as the Student Loan Interest deduction, you would not be eligible to use the free edition.
Here are the steps to file an amended return, if your return is accepted by the IRS. This option will be available starting 02/20/2020.
You can check the status of your amended return by clicking here.
If your return is rejected by the IRS, you will need to fix the e-file error and then you will be able to edit your filing status before re-filing your return.

My return was accepted with E-file. Can I do the 1040X on the 20th when it comes out, print it and send it in with my parents return in the same envelope?
Because the exact mailing address for your amended return depends upon your tax situation, refer to your customized TurboTax Filing Instructions, which print out when you print your amended return.

No, you would not be able to send your amended return in the same envelope as your parent's tax return. Each tax return must be mailed separately to the IRS in order to be processed correctly.
