Is there an online resource that would allow me to compare my taxes (from last year) to what it might be in another state?

Considering a move to another state - and thought that comparing my taxes to the other (new) state might help me determine if the move is right for me.

You could try just going on that state's tax web site and using forms from that year to prepare a state return. You will need information from your federal return.
