Is there a way, in turbo tax, to see what my tax return would be next year if I add solar panels to my home?

The solar credit is non refundable so look at this year's 1040 line 24 ... that is the max credit you could have used in 2021 to zero out your federal tax bill.  Then recalculate  the rest of the return to see how it affects the bottom line. What you cannot use will carry to the next tax year.
