They will absolutely reject your refund. The exact same situation happened to me last tax season, and it was a cluster you know what! Despite calling Green Dot and pleading my situation to them, and doing the same with the tax service, no one was willing to help. I ended up having to call the IRS, which was nearly impossible at the peak of the pandemic and quarantine, and getting my refund reissued in paper form. As a consequence, I filed my taxes last March the 12th to be exact, and didn't end up receiving my paper check finally, until the end of August. My stimulus was also delayed as a result of this. Green Dot is more trouble than it's worth in a situation such as this! Heed my warning. Good luck to you!
