If your return is Ready to Mail, that means you're able to Print and Mail the return. You'll still need to provide a printer and postage. Otherwise, you can choose to e-file the return instead.
If you'd like to file by mail:
1.Sign in to your TurboTax Online return.
2.Click File and you’ll get to the [Your name], just (…) more steps and we'll file your returns screen.
3.Complete Steps 1 and 2 if you haven’t already done so, then click Start next to Step 3.
4.On the Let’s get ready to e-file screen, select File by mail, then on the pop-up screen make sure you select File by mail for federal and all of your states.
5.Follow the onscreen instructions to print your return.
If you'd like to e-file:
1.On the Let's get ready to e-file screen, select E-file
2.Keep following the instructions until you've clicked Transmit (my) Returns Now (if you don't click this, nothing is sent to the government)
3.Once you see the Transmission Successful screen, you'll know your return is on its way.
To change your refund type to mailed check:
1. Sign into your account, click take me to my return
2. Click the File heading
3. Follow the prompts for Step 1. When you get to Step 2, this is where you can change how you want to receive your refund. Follow the prompts.
