Question

Is anyone's refund having processing delay?

I just got this message when checking my IRS status delay.

"We apologize, but your return processing has been delayed beyond the normal timeframe. You can continue to check back here for the most up to date information regarding your refund. We understand your refund is very important and we are working to process your return as quickly as possible"

I still get tax topic 152.

I filed on Feb 1, and got accepted on 2/1 as well.

Yes, several people have received this IRS notice alerting you of the processing delays.  Try to be patient and allow them additional time to process.  Check your refund status for updates.

You should consider setting up an IRS online account.  An IRS online account makes it easy for people to quickly get the tax planning info they need. With the same ease that taxpayers have when banking online or placing an online shopping order, they can log in and get the latest on their payment history, balance, and more.

Is there a number I can call to check on the status? why did some people get their refunds already and I did not? This is crazy. Still no change.

@ptb127

The IRS says they send refunds in 21 days for 9 out of 10 efiled returns. The date is an estimate, an educated guess, a rough idea. In other words, it should not be relied on. The IRS can not say how long that other 1 of the 10 will take. All you can do now is, wait. Wait for the pay off of your interest free loan to the government. Did you believe that the IRS is omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient ?
