What do you mean you can't get help from the IRS? I think they absolutely have to help you. I think there is something you file so that they can try to track it. Did you verify all the information you put for the direct deposit? Do a bank search for "IRS" just to make sure you didn't get it?
They have to help you. It can take months for them to reissue it if it was deposited to someone else by mistake, but they have to tell you what to do.
