IRS documents forwarded from 78714 zip code to 73301 zip code

Hi,

Recently I sent letter to IRS requesting cancellation of ITIN since I got SSN. I sent documents to IRS PO BOX at 78714, however it seems the mail routed was routed to 73301 zip code by USPS. Did anyone else face this issue and resolution steps to it?

@rtax1 , both of these zips relate to IRS in Austin, TX -- just generally used for different purposes.  However, if the mail is delivered to the wrong PO Box / zip, but to the IRS, it will be rerouted through internal mail -- just takes a little bit more time.  So I would suggest , hold still -- you have done your part.
