This is my question although it is showing up in a reply:
I e-filed my 2020 income tax and it has been accepted by the IRS. I came across some additional medical expenses and decided to amend my return. I corrected the deduction amount in the amended return and of course could not proceed to complete until the IRS updates its amending processes.
Now when I log on to my 2020 Turbo Tax file and click on the block for the original (initial) filling, Turbo Tax brings me directly to the pending amended return.
How do I log onto my Turbo Tax initial file? Or, put another way, where do I find it?
To get back to your original return, you would have to reenter the original figures that you had changed and delete Form 1040X from your return. The 2020 Form 1040X does not become available until the end of March 2021 (subject to change).
