Im confused whether I should amend my return because I'm being questioned by my state taxes. Saying my wages don't match. I claimed 3300 in taxable dependent care.

I claimed my disabled brother on my taxes. He has no income, he lives with me full-time. He's 45. I didn't have the providers ssn. He moved and I can't get ahold of him. The state wants my federal return and documents supporting the charge. I don't understand what I did wrong. I didn't even get any credit because I didn't have any taxes owed.

Yes, I would definitely recommend amending your taxes if you are not able to obtain the EIN or SSN for the person who provided care for your disabled brother. It seems that the information must have flowed from your federal to your state return if they are requesting a copy of your federal return.  It could be possible that the dependent care credit didn't apply to your federal return if your tax liability was already zero, but did apply to your state return.  If that is the case, you would only need to send in the amendment for your state return.
