Do we have to file an amended return when we receive an amended 1099-Div that is exactly the same as the one we used to filed the return?

The 1099-DIV used to file our return and the amended one received today are identical (today's says amended but nothing else is changed).  Do I need to file an amended return with no change to the information already provided to the IRS on the original return?

If nothing changed, then no amended return is needed.
