It sounds like you were expecting a higher refund from your amended return than what you actually received. If that is correct, the taxing agency will mail you a letter explaining the difference between the amount you received to the amount reported on your tax return. They will also give you an opportunity to respond if you do not agree with their changes and allow you to submit additional support to verify the amounts reported on your amended tax return.
