If my refund on the IRS website says still processing does it mean I will be audited?

I’ve decided to just give up, trying to figure out what’s going on. With the card that I have i have text and email alerts for when my money deposits.. if i don’t receive any alerts or anything by March 30th I will be calling.. until then I’m going to try to go on with my life and check my mail everyday for a letter.

Am where you at I filed fed 1 and did get a letter around 22 or 24 not sure I called verified I'm me and then they said 90 days I'll should receive my refund...[removed]I'm done thus is only the second time I filed no issue first time been at same job 2 years and this what I go through

When did you call? Because tbh id rather be going through ID verification then this 45 day wait BS. With ID verification some people have received update close to a week or 2 after calling and verifying identity. So tomorrow there is going to be a huge update and I’m more then positive you’ll be one of the people who will receive an update with a direct deposit date..

Spoke with a rep today of course wmr won't show anything but I was informed I'd be getting a letter basically stating i need to verify my employment and identification but I have to wait to get the Letter because it has a code on there and you can't do anything until you have that code

I never got a letter its been almost 2 weeks rep read it over the phone jus stating there doing random review and no info needed and they have 45 days to do it and basically if everything is fine rep says I should have refund within 45 days starting reviewing on the 14th so at the end of the month review is over but i can have it before then

Tabrina89 same for me except for they changed the review date from feb 14 to feb 23 so im looking at april 9 instead april 1

I heard the irs has 45 days from tax day or the day you file, which ever is later, to send you your refund or they owe you interest. Is that true?

I also heard they have to put interest if they pass up on the time frame when it comes to reviewing

Yes it’s ridiculous. I’m hoping for a update tonight. I was told by a IRS rep that i have a processing date of 3/12. I have no idea what that means exactly but i hope it means that the IRS has up to that date to realease my funds or extend the review.

@cfu1998  you got a lil more insight then I do she told me to keep.checking in so many words and they have until the end of the month to let it go the crazy part the checking my school 1098T form to make sure I attended that college which is crazy for it to take this long to even do understandable they have alot of taxes to go over but hell technology doing all the work dor they ass
