If my 2023 taxes were done by an accountant but I want to see if I could have done it DIY in Turbotax, can I get a copy of 2023 to try this out but not submit?

You can prepare a return using TurboTax ---you are not required to file it. And in fact it would be impossible to e-file another 2023 return if your 2023 return has already been filed. You cannot print the return unless you pay for using the software.
