If I'm amending a return, do I need to (re) attach the W2 and 1099 forms if the reason I'm amending has nothing to do with those forms?
The reason I'm amending is that TT informed me that they double credit for an income deduction for an inherited IRA. (I.E. The basic information form the W2s and 1099s remained unchanged from my initial return.)

No ... only attach forms & schedules that effected the amended return.
