I went to IRS website today to retrieve my transcripts from begore 2016, when I was married. They do not show any from before 2016, all I can get is 2016 to now, Why?

If you filed married filing jointly, the transcripts would probably be filed under the name and SSN of the spouse who was listed first on the tax return. Did you try searching for them using the other spouse's name and SSN?
