They will mail you an actual check instead of having the refund issued via direct deposit.

Why would I be sent a paper check if,when I filed my taxes, I gave the correct information to have it direct deposited

TurboTax can't speak for the IRS. If for some reason, they had to issue you a paper check, then only they could tell you why.
