my first post are up there somewhere but here it goes away. I filed 1/19/17 and got accepted the same thing. They started processing a couple days later and that same week I was pulled for ID verification, I had no bars for a week because I thought I had to wait the whole 21 days but I got impatient and called on 1/6/17. The woman looked very carefully through my account and said that I was flagged for identity theft and sent me the 4883c letter right away. I got it almost 2 weeks later, I call and verfied and they said everything is okay that I now have to wait "6 weeks" for my return.
Today 2/3/17 it makes exaxtly two weeks since I ID verfied and my very impatient self has called them just about everyday. Just got off the phone with a rep like 15 minutes ago and she said that she can still that the refund is at IRS and it hasn't sent anywhere because it's still going though the process. This is so disappointing, in the last 4 years that I've filed, I have always gotten mine under 2 weeks.
I call almost everyday because I want to know that's there's a problem before I just wait and get a letter in the mail for a piece of mind. I saw read on another forum that this lady called a few things times and they finally told her that she was under review, I don't want to feel like something is being held from my knowledge.
Anyway the only thing that makes me feel better is that, Even though I don't have my bars back, at least it's my a error code. I pray I get it sometime soon, I'm using mine for college, books and other school related book re renting and etc.
