I sent my tax return in the mail almost 3 weeks ago why does my status still say "Ready to mail" ?

If you mailed your return, the status will always be "ready to mail."   TurboTax has no way of knowing if you actually dropped the return in the mailbox.

If this is a Federal return, and if you are due a Federal refund, then at about 4 weeks, you should start to see evidence of a mailed return in this IRS tool:http://www.irs.gov/Refunds
