How can I find out if my taxes were filed for 2012 and 2013? I don't think I used Turbo Tax those years. And I read that it is too late to file 2012; is that true?

Looking through my files, I don't see where a 2012 return was filed and I just recently received answers on my 2013 return. It's a complicated situation, but I am looking for a way, an IRS data base or something, to find out if returns were in fact filed. Do I request a transcript to find out?

I recommend ordering a transcript from the IRS for the years in question. If you didn't file a return for 2012, it's not too late, but you must file before April 18 of this year to claim any refund due. They are charging me for not filling for 2013 and I know I file with Turbo tax, IRS said that I can get a copy from turbo tax
