I received a payment on my turbo card. It is $1000 less than expected. I never received any information on it changing and can find nothing anywhere on irs or turbotax?

I got an email that it went through some other financial place first then came to me, was that a scam?

If you asked to have your TT fees deducted from your refund, it goes through a Third Party bank for that before the balance comes to you. The IRS will be mailing you a letter within about 2 weeks. They do not notify TT, but a $1,000 adjustment sounds like they could have corrected a data entry error (such as a misplaced comma or decimal point).
