I made a change to my return without going to "amend return" does it still save?

I do not want this change to save as I am not eligible for it anyway.

If you have already filed and when you made the change, you did not select "amend return", then it will save to the return on the program, but it will not be sent to the IRS. Also, in order to fully submit an amended return, you must mail it directly to the IRS.
