If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your refund has been delayed an unusually long time at the IRS, or if the IRS reduces your refund to where it would no longer pay the fees, TurboTax will send you emails asking for payment. If not paid, finally they will send an email saying they are about to debit your bank account. If still not paid, they do just that.
You should contact them immediately. They start that debit process a
couple days ahead of the scheduled debit, and once started, it cannot
be stopped. You may be able to request a deferment if you reach them
in time.
Hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.
