Weeks ago, I filed form 1040-X to amand my 2023 tax return. A corrected form 8962 was included along with form 1040-X.
Today I got a letter from the IRS, it says "We're unable to correct your account with the information you provided on your Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. Please provide the following: A completed form 8962 to support the changes you made."
I'm confused since I already included form 8962 in my amendment package.
Anyone had similar issue?
Thank you!

Yes, it means your form 8962 was placed in the wrong stack or fell on the floor. You will need to send it again for the IRS to process your return.
Mail a copy of the letter you received with the 8962.
If the letter did not indicate a mailing address to mail the requested information, you should send Form 8962 and a copy of the letter you received to the address you mailed the 1040X form. Keep a copy of the correspondence sent and mail the information as certified mail. Mailing as certified mail will give you documentation showing you mailed the information.

To follow up, the letter I received did not specify where I should send form 8962. Instead, it only says if I have questions, I can write to an address which is different from where I originally sent my 1040-X package.
Should I send form 8962 along with a copy of the letter again to the same address where I sent my 1040-X package in the first place?
Thank you!

I will do that.
