I have an email confirmation saying 2022 Federal return was confirmed/accepted and I know I used TuboTax for 2022 but cannot locate a copy of the return on the app/site.

I’ve tried account recovery other options it suggested but I have the correct email/acct. It is just not appearing where it should be to obtain within the app under documents/prior year.

Back in April of 2022, you said that you paid $25 to e-file the state (would have been for 2021 taxes).  IF so, that only occurs for the CD/Desktop/Download software.

IF you also used the Desktop/Download software for your 2022 taxes (during 2023), your only copy would be on your own hard drive and any backups you may have made.

Even through you e-file THRU the TTX servers, if you use the desktop software to e-file, then your only copy of your file is on your own computer....and you absolutely MUST back-up the PDF copies on a USB flash drive.  You have no idea how many people post every year looking for help to find files that were on their crashed computer disk drives.

________________

Only the "Online" software keeps a copy of your file for a few years, but even that goes away after 6 or 7 years....ALWAYS make your own backup copy on a flash drive
