What do you mean by "my other half tax?"   What are you trying to do?

I got tied up and claimed my child that was put on my other half tax already . how do I correct the name and ss ?

Do you mean that you mistakenly claimed a child who was also claimed by the child's other parent, and you want to claim a different child instead?


If that's what you mean, did you already file your tax return claiming the wrong child? If you have not filed, go back to the My Info section to make the correction. Don't just change the name. Delete the dependent that you should not have claimed, and add the correct child as a new dependent.


If you already filed you tax return claiming the wrong child you will have to file an amended return (Form 1040-X) to make the correction. Wait until the tax return that you filed has been accepted and processed, and you have received the refund. Then see the following FAQ for instructions to file an amended return.
