You do not have to amend your return because you cannot claim yourself as a dependent on taxes. Dependency exemptions are applicable to your qualifying dependent children and qualifying dependent relatives only.

You can, however, claim a personal exemption for yourself on your return.

Myy 2023 printed copy of my tax return does not show the mortgage interest paid. However, when I go into the 1098 summary, it is there.
