I filed my taxes using paper return irs sent me a letter to verify my income with a copy of my oroginal W2, I havent heard from them about my refund

All you can do is wait for them to process the return.  They may have to also confirm the wages with your employer so it could take a while.  You can try to call the number on the notice you got and see if they can find you in the system.
