I filed my taxes on January 11th, and they still say pending. When should I be concerned enough to call the IRS?

You don't need to call the IRS or be concerned.  Even though you e-filed your return early, the official date for the IRS to start accepting returns is 1/27/2020.  You will have to wait until your return is accepted in order for you to receive a refund.  You could receive your refund within 10 days if you choose direct deposit.  See the following from the IRS for refund information.
