I filed an extension for tax year 2024 but need a copy of it. I cannot find it anywhere. Some other post said go to "tax tools" after logging in but I don't see it.

Your extension, Form 4868, will be included in the PDF of your tax return after you have paid for the TurboTax online account. I have attached a screenshot below for additional clarification. 

To print out a copy of your tax return, please follow the instructions below:

1. Open your return.
2. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  
3. Click on Print Center.  
4. Click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  
5. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets.

You have to open up your return interview before you will have Tax Tools and subtab Print Center in the left menu column.     If your return interview is closed because TurboTax thinks you were finished, then you will not have a full menu.  To get the full menu at the Tax Home look for a link "Add a State".  That doesn't really add one but will open the return back up.   When the interview opens back up, you should have the full menu, then follow @LenaH instructions above to go to the Print Center to retrieve a PDF.

NOTE:  When you open your return back up, if you have already filed ,do not make any changes in it.  If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.   If you haven't yet filed the return, you can make changes in it.

NOTE:  Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc.  Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.

i don’t have a tax return yet -that’scwhy infiled and am trying to printout the extension i filed. and some others keep saying i have to pay first. wth?! i already paid for the software (i am NOT using tt’s website to do my taxes)-i gotta pay again to get a copy of my extension filed thru tt online?

Yes if you want to print your extension, you have to pay for TurboTax software.
