I did my taxes for 2018 but they were ammended so they never got my direct deposit info so by mistake i signed up for the non filers what happens if i get a deposit and a check?

It seems unlikely that you would get both. If you want to set up Direct Deposit for your stimulus payment, you will need to wait for the Treasury to set up the web portal for you to enter your banking information.

If you did not have a tax refund with Direct Deposit, the IRS does not have your banking information.

"In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail."
