1. Amendments can only be sent by mail, you cannot e-file them, additionally you should not do this until the return you submitted has been approved\denied and closed out.
2. If you just went and changed your return that you already submitted it goes nowhere, it does not get resent to the IRS.
3. I would go and back out any changes you made as you will now have an incorrect tax form on file.
