My e-filed refunds have been rejected a few times now. I have error code TY25_HSA. I've done what my TT desktop program suggested, included deleting Forms 8889-S and 8889-T and 1099-SA and re-entering my info, to no avail. What else can I try? Thank you!

No, if your situation was the same every month, then you should enter it that way because it can affect your HSA contribution limit. Just be sure to enter the answer for every month rather than making one of the selections that you had the same situation all year.
There is word today that the suggested workaround may not solve the problem for TurboTax desktop users. If more information becomes available, it will be posted here.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your mom.
... here is a little more information. 🙂
Married filing jointly
Both over 55
W-2:
Box 12 Code W $9550.00
1099-SA:
Box 1 Gross distribution $1147.07
Box 2 Earnings on excess cont. $0.00
Box 3 Distribution code 1
Box 4 FMV on date of death $0
Box 5 HSA box checked
These are the numbers I've entered and re-entered after deleting the forms I mentioned above. This should be pretty straightforward stuff. Please help. Thank you!
I am having the same problem. Getting Federal filing rejected for TY25_HSA. I have also tried several times by deleting the forms suggested and refiling - but still not getting it corrected.
I'm getting TY25_HSA as well. Everything looks good and no changes since last year. Walked through the process with Online help and their suggestion was "Well I guess you will have to mail your return in"
I am having the same problem that you are. Hopefully someone can help us find a solution that works
If you are getting the HSA_2025 rejection code when trying to electronically file your return, try using the following steps to clear the internal condition that is causing the rejection code. These steps have worked for some users to be able to refile with acceptance of their returns.
Also, please note that you should not check the box indicating that you are ‘covered by Medicare’ unless you are receiving Medicare benefits rather than having HDHP insurance coverage. This question is also asking about 2025, not 2026. So if you are covered by Medicare in 2026, this check box does not apply to you.
Use these steps:
At this point, you can go through the error check process and refile your return.
Thank you @AnnetteB6 !
i'm sorry to be so late replying. (my mom, who lives with me, is having surgery today.)
I will try this. My question is this... Do I respond that I had a different situation every month of the year even though my situation was the same? (I was covered by a family plan every month last year.)
Thank you in advance for your response. I will try what you recommend tonight as soon as I get a chance.

I am having the same issue. TurboTax needs a bug fix IMMEDIATELY!
Hi Annette,
I can confirm that I was able to successfully submit my return after following the steps you outlined below, namely selecting the ‘I had different plan types at different times of the year’ check box instead of I had the same plan all year check box and then selecting the same plan type for each month of 2025. I got back to the same calculated tax liability I expected so thank you very much for your assistance. I hope this works for others.
Thank you, @AnnetteB6 for your well wishes for my mom! (She's recovering well today. Your wishes are so kind.) I had to select the option that said that I had a different situation each month in order for the page with drop-downs for each month to appear. I chose family plan for each month. My federal and state returns were finally accepted! I can't thank you enough!!!
