I amended my taxes. The 1040X is showing a refund, however, when I scroll down, the 1040 is showing an amount due. Which is it? I am confused.

If there is a refund shown on the amended tax return, Form 1040-X on Line 21, ignore the Form 1040 as that form is not sent with the amended return.

Thank you for your prompt reply. What if I did mail the 1040 with the 1040X. Will that create confusion of the IRS agent?
