I accidently put single on my tax returns. The taxes have been submitted. I am trying to amend it from single to head of house hold, but the system is not letting me.

If your return is accepted you will get an email. If the return is rejected the e-mail will tell you what to correct and you can make changes before e-filing again. Amend to change an accepted return after you get your refund. Instructions below

First off, you should not be amending your tax return until the IRS has accepted the tax return and your tax refund has been issued or the taxes owed have been paid and processed.

Second, if you do not have a qualifying person as a dependent on your tax return you cannot have Head of Household filing status.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for Head of Household - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-filing-status/qualify-head-household...
