How long after being accepted does it usually take for status to change

It can take anywhere from a couple of days to up to three weeks for your status to go from accepted to approved.  

The TurboTax FAQ below explains this in detail as well as how to track both Federal and State refunds you may have coming.

Another good source of information is the IRS itself at https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
