Its been 48 hours why is my state return still pending?

The IRS site was reported in the news media as crashed on April 17, 2018-- the day I filed my federal and state return. 48 hours later both are marked as pending. This is an unusual situation, and last minute filers should have gotten an email from Turbo Tax informing us as to how this would affect acceptance of our return. So far, nada from Turbo Tax.
