How to file an amended tax 2023?

My 2023 return was rejected. I do not want to claim a dependent. How do I remove it from my tax filing?

Do not click on anything that says "amend" to fix a rejected tax return. You do not use the amending process for that. If you need to remove or add a dependent you just go to MY INFO. Dependents are added, deleted or edited in MY INFO. Make the change you need to make, and then re-file the return.
