Since capital gains are exempt in your state there may be an adjustment page. If you could provide the state name there could be more specific instruction for you.
Thanks for your answer. As it turns out, a few screens later there was a prompt for if my state handled the capital gain differently than the fed. I clicked "Yes" and was able to enter the revised amount for my state return.
