There is no additional cost to prepare and file an amended return.  HOWEVER, the amended return Form 1040-X must be PRINTED and MAILED --it cannot be e-filed.

Also, the 1040-X will not be available until mid-February.

But you can include the cost of paper, ink, envelopes and stamps in "employee business expenses" on Schedule A. 🙂
