How long does it take irs to manually error check?

It ha been over six weeks since my return was accepted. I have received my state refund. IRS states my return was pulled for error checking to be done manually.  Same information sent every year and never had an issue before.

unanswerable. it depends on how many returns the IRS is checking.  what they are checking. how many returns are in the queue. how many agents they have available to do the manual checks.

The representative i spoke with stated they have pulled an unusually large amount of returns for manual review with no explanations.
