I am wondering how long after you update/verify your banking information should you receive your stimulus payment. I went to check my stimulus payment yesterday and it said I was eligible for a payment but they needed my banking information. After putting in my own bank information it gave me a response that I would receive the payment date via email. Today I checked again and it is the same message. Interesting to note everyone in my household used TT to file and everyone had to go in a verify their banking information. Is this just a coincidence or another TT issue?

This is what a lot of us are having to do after having filed with TT..
@ChrissyB, why does that not surprise me??? 😫🙄
There is no precedent on what you ask ... so check the site or your bank account once a day until you get the answer you seek.
@CritterThe question was posed to see if the wunderkids of TT would have any answer or recommendation. But as usual the best answer from TT is "NO Answer"...thanks for nothing.
I filed with turbo tax, then sent a debit card. My taxes went on the card and my stimulas check as well. I didnt have to do anything.
Download the app. It's faster to find out your balance. They also send you an email when the money will be deposited
@Robertsteven, thanks I did all of that, unfortunately I am one of the many who filed with TT and did not receive an advance so when I went to the site yesterday I had to put my banking information in manually. It seems like there is a disconnect with all the tax preparation software and the IRS in which there have been multiple problems this year with customers getting their money when they were supposed to. I would have had higher hopes that the issues were fixed before the EIPs went out but it seems that it's more issues. I am really going crazy about it but there are many, many people who need this EIP like yesterday and they aren't getting it and now it's more of the same misinformation or rhetoric.
