How do i Fix This?!

I have filed my federal and ig shows accepted. I indicated i wanted the amount i owe deducted from my checking account the day prior to due date. Now i fear i wont have the funds available and need to set up arrangements for monthly payments instead. How do i do this/ what do i need to do? Thanks for your help.

You would first have to cancel the payment if you can, then you would have to go on the IRS website, to apply for a payment plan.

 

How do I cancel a payment to the IRS?
Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about or cancel your payment, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling. Cancellation requests must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET two business days prior to the scheduled payment date.
 
To apply for a payment plan with the IRS:
