How do I efile an amended return? TurboTax tells me that the filing deadline has passed

Online documentation from Intuit says I can efile with TurboTax, but the app doesn't actually e-file
2022 amended return, if that matters

You cannot e-file an amended 2022 return.  It has to be filed by mail.   Print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it.  Do not expect quick results from amending.  It can take 4 - 6 months for the IRS to process an amended return.
