How do I convert a .tax document to .pdf?

I need my 2023 State Tax return

Do you have the 2023 desktop version that produced.

If so you can re-save it as a PDF

1. Open your return in TurboTax.
2. Select File.
3. Select Print/Save for Your Records.
4. Choose to either Save As PDF or Preview Print Copy.

The only way to convert a .tax file to a PDF is with the 2023 desktop TurboTax program.

You don't convert. The .tax2023 file will remain. Open the 2023 Turbtax file. from the File tab select print. a new window should open and at the bottom, there is an option to save it as a PDF.   First, select the forms you want to save.  Then "Save as a PDF" and select where on your computer to save it. if you want a printed copy then instead of saving as a PDF, select "preview print copy" A new window opens and usually at the top right there an icon for a printer select that. Then another window opens with the forms and an option to select the printer.  you can still select a PDF printer or any other printer listed.

The method you offer is ridiculous. I don't have the desktop version of TurboTax. You need to make my files available to me in an easier way. I need tax documents from previous years because I didn't file with the state to get my refund. Please fix this. Thank you

If you used TurboTax Online last year, on the Home page after you Sign In, scroll down to 'Tax Returns and Docs', then click on 'My Docs'.
