How do I amend an already submitted 2023 tax return on Turbo Tax?

No more than a couple hours after I had submitted my 2023 tax return and it was approved, I realized I needed to add college info for my college son.  It raised our return by $1000. How do I amend my return?

You should wait until the original return is fully processed before you amend.   Here are the instructions when you are ready; you have 3 years to file the amendment.  Follow the instructions here to amend your tax return.

Wait until your return has processed and any refund or tax liability settled before amending your return.
