How do I add 1098-T information on filed 2017 tax return and receive adjusted refund amount?

Already filed and received 2017 tax return. Missing 1098-T information, need to amend or refile with 1098-T form information on filed tax return and receive adjusted amount.

You will need to amend your return to add the 1098-T. Please note that you cannot e-file an amended return.  They have to be mailed, and it takes up to 16 weeks for the IRS to process an amended return. 3 weeks after you mailed your amendment, you can start tracking its progress at the IRS Where's My Amended Return? site.
