TT cannot mail it, since YOU must sign it with a pen.

if you efiled federal you can efile state but there is a TT charge.

User is posting from online software.  There is no extra fee to e-file a state return when the return was prepared using online TT.  The state e-file fee is only with desktop software, and can be avoided by mailing the state return.

TurboTax does not mail anything for you.  If you are choosing to file a return by mail, then YOU have to print it, sign it in ink, and mail it yourself.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.
